A Little Backstory
I started working when I was thirteen years old. That work ethic took me through college where I paid my own way 100%. The next step was to get that all important first job out of college at a major corporation.
I was told by my first corporate boss that I would have a 30+ year career…only to see the company bought out in a hostile takeover three years later…and I had to move on to my next corporate job. I even changed to a new industry. My new boss told me that I would have a 30+ year career…only to see, once again, the company being bought out after three years…and I had to move on to a different corporate job. This cycle repeated itself a total of FIVE TIMES.
Each time, I lost the investment of the years in the company, and I had to start over somewhere else, at the bottom of the totem pole. I vowed that someday I would run my own enterprise so that I could guarantee my own success and stop the vicious cycle. Does this sound familiar to you?

Back in 1995, I had already begun to feel the effects of the “internet” in my sales position. Everything was changing…and maybe, it wasn’t going to be good for me. So, I began to learn about the internet. I knew that one day I would use this powerful tool as a way to change my life for good. Over the years, I have learned that I have a very good grasp of sales techniques and marketing know-how. Could it be that the internet would enable me to leverage these skills into a successful business? Well, there is one thing I know is true…YOU DON’T HAVE TO REINVENT THE WHEEL IN ORDER TO BE SUCCESSFUL. That’s why I am here, at Wealthy Affiliate, where I know that I can make the online world work for me.
My Goal Is A Lifestyle Free From Offices, Bosses, and Uncertainty
The purpose of this website is to help create the lifestyle that anybody who is looking at this page wants. That lifestyle consists of; being free of a boss, not having to commute to the office, not working into the late hours of the night, not having to fly across the country and being away from your family, not having to eat in a different restaurant every night because you are on the road selling, not having to sleep in a strange bed in a hotel (maybe, in a place you would never want to go to, but you had to, because it is part of your job). Probably, it is a job that you don’t like at all, or doesn’t suit your personality and skills. Sound familiar?
Of course, you can sleep in hotels, fly across the country, eat in restaurants…but, this time it will be because you WANT TO BE THERE…NOT BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO BE THERE. This is an important distinction. Setting your own course and choosing your own direction is liberating…but, it takes hard work.
